Hodgeheg! No...wait...HEDGEHOG!

Hey guys, so this morning Lazybones (AKA Loz) got out of bed 2 hours after Mum shouted her up! Will this child ever learn? Stay tuned, I'm working on her! :p

Anyway, when she eventually got herself sorted, I had a nice stroll down Nanas this morning and was welcomed with a nice brekkie-I love Nanas because she always has biscuits and when Lauren goes to school on mornings Casey and me both get two each! Hehe! Shhh, don't tell anyone or everyone'll want some!

Lauren had to leave quite early to go to her dads! :( I always miss her when she goes but when she got back later she smelt of puppy!  A boy puppy from what i could gather. She was telling her Mam about her Dads girlfriends sister getting a new puppy called Barney and Lauren's allowed to walk it when shes over there when its old enough. But she gave me a big hug and said she would give me extra attention so I forgive her! :p

Then Lauren fed me and her Mams friend came over for a bit. Then me and Loz walked her halfway home. I could smell something suspicious when we stepped out the door but just ignored it and grabbed my ball. Suddenly I heard a squeal and Lozz was laughing and pulling her camera out. She had just accidentally kicked a big round spiky thing called a Hedgehog apparently. It was curled up in the corner of the step, which was stupid because it could get squashed.

At first it looked fat and faceless. Then Loz explained it was scared of us and curled up in a ball because of it. Despite the dark, the bright light from her camera made the picture show clearly and she took a snap of it. Then we continued our walk! When we got back I spotted something great-better than my little ball! A giant ball was on the grass outside our house! I bounded over and smelled that funny smell again. And then realised it was him again. The Hodgeheg...I mean Hedgehog! Luckily I realised before I tried to pick it up! It had obviously moved from our front yard-obviously due to MY superior guarding skills. Loz seemed fascinated by it. She took some pictures of its back because it was curled up again-are these things ever awake! But then she bent down and got a few snaps of half its face. It was quite cute really, except the spikes which didn't look too pleasant! Then Lauren took me and my ball further down the hall. Thats when I saw the critter move! It clambered up and snuffled around. Lauren raced in the house and me being the loyal pooch I am I followed. Only to realize I was going inside and she was staying out-shame on you Loz, shame on you! She came back quickly, explaining she hadn't managed to get an action pic because it had went under next doors fence and round the back where its dark.

I forgave her for putting em in coz we played fetch out the front for AGGGGEESSSS!
So yup pretty good day! Lauren seems really happy because do you know how a while ago she was worried about me getting old. She was looking at some funny pics of me and laughing-insulting but nice at the same time! haha-and now she's real happy and I love her and don;t worry Loz. I'm sticking around for ages! Mwahahah! The trouble I can get into! :)

Anyway! Here's some pics of the Hedgehog and one of me! Hehe! How have your days been? Up to anything exciting?
On the step!

Thinking about coming out!

Throw the ball now!

P.S. I smell a bath brewing soon, before Lauren goes back because I have worked very hard to work up a stink off these long muddy walks-Lauren will snatch it away instantly  with her shampoo! But I don't mind smelling minty!

  1. I LOVE HEDGEHOGS!! I hope the birdies don't eat the poor little guy, birdies are evil!!!

God humans are so lazy!! I've just about trained my humans to get up early to walk and feed me!!!

Awwww a new pup, maybe you and him could make pals and go for walkies together!! I don't always like pups, they're to bouncy for my liking!!!

  2. I know! They're cool aren't they! We couldn't believe one had been IN OUR FRONT GARDEN! SO COOL! :D

Have you had some run-ins with birdies Milo? Haven't had much experience myself but them beaks and eyes don't look nice! I think its cool because I'm crossed with Labrador and Lauren said we were trained to hunt birdies! I'll catch them for you Milo!

Do birdies eat hedgehogs! Thats nasty!!!!!!!

Yes, they are bouncy aren't they! Don't worry I'll set him straight! Shadows 2 and twice as large as me and still acts like a pup and I put him in his place so it shouldn't be hard with this pup! If I'm allowed that is, Laurens dad lives a drive away! :(

Thanks! I love the pics too! Aww :( I hate average days! Mines been pretty much like that but I'm going for a walk with Lauren, Tina the staffie and Loz's friend soon so that should be good! Pics will be coming! :p
